Carrion Crow

Scientific name: Corvus corone

this is a widespread eurasian crow species. they feature black plumage with a green or sometimes purple sheen, they are distingushed from ravens due to their smaller size and slimmer beak. they live on a diet of nuts, worms, arthropods, small mammals and amphibeans, due to their scavenging nature they will often harrass birds of prey and other predators for their kill. they are highly intelligent and have adapted easily to urban enviroments and have taken to dropping nuts onto roads and waiting for cars to run over them to crack the shells. they create nests out of sticks and lay clutches of up to 4 eggs.
